Tyuonyi Ruins Overlook Trail is an easy, family friendly lollipop loop trail which offers views of both Frijoles Canyon and the Tyuonyi Ruins on the canyon floor. The trail leaves from the Juniper Campground Parking lot and heads through a beautiful mesa before reaching the canyon rim.

These small ruins are found along the Tyuonyi Overlook trail and marked with an interpretive sign

These circular ruins, found near the canyon rim, are thought to have been used for agricultural-related ceremonies, such as to pray for good weather

Seen here are the ruins of the village of Tyuonyi, an ancient multi-level pueblo that housed 100 people in over 400 rooms. It was circular in shape with only one entrance
